Owners Alicia Orr and Alessandra Miele have over ten years of combined experience as yoga students and teachers. Through workshops and trainings they have studied with world renowned teachers such as Sri K. Pattahbi Jois, Beryl Bender Birch, Nancy Gilgoff, Tim Miller, Manju Jois, and Anna Forrest.  They are both Registered Yoga Teachers at the 200-hour level by Yoga Alliance. Alicia received her certification with Mimi Loureiro, owner of O2 Yoga, and Alessandra received hers through the Yoga Works teacher training program with Natasha Rizopoulos.  Both Alicia and Alessandra share the same passion for the practice of yoga, and the endless benefits it provides for the mind and body. As long-time residents of the North End, they are thankful to have the opportunity to provide a place for those in and around Little Italy to learn and practice this ancient tradition.

Amy Leydon left her job as an Emmy Award winning television producer to pursue her passion for yoga.
She now channels her creative energy into her teachings to give her students a unique and engaging
    experience.
Amy's main influences come from her teachers Barbara Benagh and Shiva Rea.  Her challenging vinyasa flow classes offer a perfect balance between strength and surrender. By infusing her classes with innovative sequencing, soul-stirring music, practical spirituality, and warm humor, she hopes to be an
inspiration both on and off the mat. Amy has been teaching in the Boston area for the past
6 years. She was just awarded Best Yoga Teacher in Boston by Boston Magazine!

Johanna Hynes' credentials include 200 hours of formal teacher training in Ashtanga, trained and certified by Larry Shultz and 300 hours of formal teacher training in Jivamukti, trained and certified by David Life and Sharon Gannon.
Upon moving to Boston, she has been fortunate enough to study with many great teachers including Patricia Walden and Barbara Benagh.  As a teacher, she strives to bring a well-balanced blend of breath awareness, philosophy and attention to alignment.

Taryn Toomey originally began doing yoga as a way to exercise, little did she know that it was going to change her life. When she began practicing she had stressful career in corporate fashion and slowly started to notice how yoga helped to center and balance her emotionally as well as physically.   Her practice started to shift as she became more aware of the subtle ways that yoga made her feel, and the teaching bug set in. Years later she became certified in Iyengar yoga under Alison west in NYC. Taryn truly believes that practicing yoga can transform all the layers of the body, mind and spirit.  She incorporates the use of
intentions and lots of breath to release and clear blockages in ones physical body, to tap into deep healing. Expect a creative and vigorous class, with fun music to move to.  A specific focus is emphasized which ranges from physical, emotional, to energetic opening.  Taryn has deep gratitude for all of her students and teachers, past, present and future.

Chanel Luck’s love for yoga surfaced the first time she stepped on her mat. Immediately, she felt the magical power yoga offered to transform her physical and spiritual bodies. Yoga helped Chanel heal from a spinal injury, smoking addiction and eating disorder. Through yoga, she learned to move energy in her body and use that power to transform her life. Her background in dance and figure skating transitioned easily to flowing on the mat. Students love her music selection, sequencing and natural free spirited energetic classes. She is passionately committed to healing the world on an individual level. Chanel’s
classes are powerful and playful, expect to be pushed to your limit-in love and laughter. Chanel has traveled nationally and internationally to teach and assist both teacher trainings and retreats. She currently travels to assist her teacher Shiva Rea and is a Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training
Mentor. Additionally, Chanel is certified by the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute and Forrest Yoga Institute. Her extensive background in anatomy and study of cranial sacral bodywork deepens her ability to work with all levels of students, from elderly Alzheimer’s patients to toddlers, from total beginner to advanced practitioner. She is the co-founder and director of YogaThree, a company devoted to community, wellness, and travel. She loves creating community and meeting people all over the
world. When she is not teaching she can be found playing with her nine year old sister or traveling the states representing SAFER, (Students Active For Ending Rape), a non-profit she co-founded. “My greatest wish as a yoga teacher is to help my students feel powerful in their bodies, find their inner strength, heal, and connect to their hearts.”

Jasmine Punzalan began her journey into yoga in 2001 as a way to get exercise and relieve the stress from her demanding corporate job.  While training in Ashtanga with her primary teacher, Alicia Orr, Jasmine’s practice evolved beyond the purely physical as she gained an appreciation for the other limbs of yoga. She truly connected with herself, which inspired her to share her love for yoga with others.

Jasmine received her formal teacher training through Natasha Rizopoulos of Yoga Works, which is based on the precision of the Iyengar system and the flow of the Ashtanga method. She is also grateful to have studied with great teachers such as Manju Jois and David Swenson.

She spends her free time volunteering for yogaHOPE, a non-profit organization which establishes yoga programs in facilities for underserved women.
